Hi I'm Jo from Sewscene and I live in Braintree, Essex in the UK. I am a SEN mum and live with my husband, two children and critters In rural Essex in our lovely family home.
I set Sewscene up back in 2017 when I took a gamble and purchased my first embroidery machine. I started digitising, designing and testing out embroidery from scratch all self taught for a Volkswagen car club I help run which I'm super passionate about. I've always been very arty and love creating things so I thought to myself self "how hard can it be?" 
Fast forward to today, I now successfully embroider for several car clubs, small and large businesses and individual customers. I absolutely love crafting so love to create hand made decorations and pieces for the home, trinkets, gifts and more.
In 2020 I started creating gonk gnomes, these are one of my favourites to create and I can personalise these too.
In 2021 I branched out to embroidering tote bags, personal shopper bags and fashion wear. This is a new exciting venture for me.
Everything I make is created with care and passion. I'm a self confessed perfectionist (which annoys the husband!) So you can be assured that if I'm not happy with what I produce, it doesn't leave the house until it's perfect.
Since our founding, our clients have relied on us for our quality and exceptional service.
